High-End Solid Spruce Top w/L5-Style Fingerboard Markers, Fancy Headstock Overlay

Up for consideration is very beautiful and well-used Sherwood Deluxe acoustic archtop guitar, made by Kay. The guitar features a solid spruce top, flamed + burl maple back and sides, and an aftermarket pickup system built into the bridge saddle. These Sherwood Deluxe guitars are the high-end of the Kay-made archtops, and here is a great opportunity to pick up a vintage USA-made players-grade acoustic archtop at a very affordable price!!

This guitar is in fair cosmetic condition, but it plays great and sounds great, with a balanced mid-forward sound, excellent projection and snap, but still retaining good body tone from the added volume of the full-size 17" archtop. The guitar is player's-grade, thus has some signs of use, including several DIY repaired cracks on the top, a neck reset, and a fingerboard extension repair. However the action is good, and the guitar plays well, and the thick C neck profile is actually very comfortable to play. The guitar plays great with no issues, and sounds great acoustically, and the amplified sound is serviceable with some EQ. So this is a highly versatile guitar that is great for acoustic music, songwriting, and can also be used for live gigs. Does not come with a case.
