Here is a super cool, vintage VANTAGE "Spirit" VLP-500 Les Paul copy. First of all, these are just great guitars, with 1-piece, solid slab mahogany bodies, with beachwood tops. They are relatively high-end Les Paul copies from the now defunct Matsumoku factory in Japan -- from their Golden Age of the early 1980s. The guitar is mostly stock, it has just has the bridge PUP replaced with an Epi. The neck PUP is stock (see photo) and sounds great with the coil-tap. The bridge PUP is 2-wire, with no coil-split. These 2 PUPs sound great together, and you can still get 5 different, very convincing sounds from this set-up, as the coil split sounds really great on the neck PUP.

So here is a great chance to buy a vintage Vantage, a great-sounding MIJ / Matusmoku Les Paul copy. The guitar is in good overall condition, with nicks, chips, dings & scratches normally seen in a 35-year-old guitar. It is just missing the pickguard, and does not come with a case. The tonewoods are really beautiful, and the Matsumoku workmanship is world-class. The guitar plays great, sounds great, has a very cool vibe, and is beautiful to look at in the stunning Tobacco sunburst finish.
