Up for sale is a brand new Shure SM57 that has been modded for transformerless operation. This is the go-to configuration in many studios for tracking snare. However, there are times where you will want the extra gain and transformer coloration of the standard 57, so this action includes a 20 Ohm to 600 Ohm transformer adapter, containing a Shure SM57 transformer coupled with a 600 Ohm output, giving the mic additional gain and a fuller tone, allowing you to use the mic both with or without the transformer as the situation requires. In addition, the 20/600 transformer adapter will also greatly benefit any of your vintage transformerless dynamics like Western Electric / Altec 633, 632 Salt Shakers, or STC 4021 Ball & Biscuit. Comes with the original mount, mic pouch, and the Cathedral 20-600 Ohm transformer adapter.
