Vintage Harmony Airline Model 8286 / 7076 Acoustic Guitar
* IN STOCK *
13" Parlor Guitar, Nut Width: 45mm, Action Height: 3mm
Up for sale is a vintage Harmony / Airline 12-Fret, all-solid birch blues box, based on the Harmony Stella. Known to be made from 1954 to 1967, the original model number was 8286, and it changed in 1961 to 7076. These were catalogue guitars offered by Montgomery Wards. The guitar is in good condition, and plays fine up through and including the 12th fret. After that, the birch fingerboard is a uneven and there is some fret buzzing and stopped notes, so don't plan on using this past the 12th fret unless you raise the action or work on the fingerboard.
Cosmetically, there are some minor nicks and scratches, but overall the guitar is in very good condition (7/10) for this vintage, and plays great, with a nice bluesy sound, a little bit in the direction of a Dobro. Sold As-Is, and does not come with a case.
