Up for sale is a very good condition Gibson Protector Case for the Norlin Era Les Pauls + SGs. This is the first generation, 3-latch, Protector case. The case is fully functional -- even though the rear latch is missing -- and it is now operating as a 2x latch case, with 2x front latches. The cloth lid strap that holds the case in the open position is torn apart, but the case still stays in the open position anyway, as the 3x rear hinges hold it in place. The case compartment opens and shuts perfectly.

There are a few minor dings on the exterior, but overall the case is in very clean condition, and makes a very nice period-correct case for your Norlin-Era vintage Les Paul and SG. The case is shown here with these 4 guitars for reference only (no actual guitars included): 1980 Gibson Sonex 180 Custom, 1983 Epiphone USA SG II, Epi Les Paul Pro P90, Epi Les Paul Standard. Note: that this does not fit the longer headstock 6-on-a-side guitars like the Black Knight Custom, or Corvus.

The case was used to house a vintage Sonex 180, so it currently conforms to the Les Paul shape perfectly. The SG fits as well, but is a slightly tighter fit at the moment, but the case foam will compact over time and adapt to fit the SG shape with no problem, as it will compress to the new guitar's form.
