| * SOLD * 2013 Gibson Midtown Kalamazoo Limited Run Byrdland / ES-350 Tribute * SOLD * Scale Length 23 1/2", Nut Width 1 11/16th (43 mm), Weight: 8 lbs., 3 Oz Here is something that you don't see every day -- a 2013 Gibson Midtown Kalamazoo. The guitar is Gibson's Midtown Series tribute to the short-scale Byrdland and ES-350. These are very rare guitars, estimated to only have produced 300 for USA and 300 for Europe, so these are getting harder to find. Basically, this guitar is Gibson's Byrdland Tribute, in an effort to make an affordable guitar for folks who don't have $5k - $10k sitting around to buy the full 17" archtop. They simplified the design by building it with a flat top and a flat back, much a Les Paul Junior, and have control cavities instead of having to wire the guitar through the F-Holes. It has a smaller 15" lower bout, instead of the 17" on the Byrdland. This guitar is in very good condition, with just a couple of dings on the back edge near the lower bout, and a couple of very minor scratches here and there, that you basically have to hunt for. The original owner switched out the truss rod cover with a Byrdland cover, but everything else is original.
