Here is a wonderful 1984 Gibson Invader w/Gibson 490 neck and DiMaraio Super Distortion bridge PUPs. It has a great neck profile, with the rare, possibly unique Gibson model combination of bolt-on maple neck, mahogany body, and Ebony FB. The guitar packes a lot of power with a Gibson 490 Bridge neck and a Super Distortion bridge pup. The DSD pups sound great in bolt-on neck construction guitars, and here there is no exception, as the guitar responds with the nice brightness and drive.
The guitar does have some wear, including one spot on the neck where the clear coat finish has worn through, but is otherwise fine. The guitar plays, sounds and feels great, and is a wonderful bargain in the vintage guitar market -- certainly one of the best Gibson models from their mid-80s "economy" series, and a great Gibson bolt-on design. The guitar does not come with a case.
