Do you want a vintage 1960s Gibson, without having to pay the sky-high prices most models are going for these days? Well, a mid-1960s Melody Maker may be just what you are looking for. Here is a nice player's guitar form 1965, that plays and sounds great. It still has the original '65 pots, knobs, and of course the old-growth mahogany that make these guitars so desirable.
This guitar does have replacement Grover small format tuners, modern replacement wrap-tail bridge -- as the original Maestro tremolo unit has been removed, and it looks like it has been refretted with a new nut. There are many marks and dings, as well as finish checking, so this has been well-played over the years. The strap button has been re-located both at the body end, and also it was once under the upper horn.
All in all, this is a great-playing, and great-sounding vintage Gibson guitar, that can be played as-is, or modded with a replacement boutique single coil pick-up, or a Mini HB can fit in the existing route. Does not come with a case.
