Custom "Crop Circles" Harmonic Sound Port, w/Softshell Case
Up for consideration is a vintage 1979 Epiphone "Epi" A-12 OM-Style acoustic guitar w/case. The guitar features a custom sound port, using a crop circle design, that ads fullness and depth to the tone. The "Epi" series were designed as starter guitars, and are laminated and made in Taiwan, but this A-12 model was a higher-tier guitar in the Epi line, with very nice looking rosewood back and sides. This guitar is in good condition for 1979, but it does have a few dings and signs of use. The soundboard has a bit of deflection to it, and the last 3 frets taper downhill a bit with the soundboard. Action is decent, and the 1 11/16ths nut / C-profile neck is very comfortable to play. The guitar plays fine and sounds good both for strumming and fingerpicking, but it really shines in playing the blues, and has some extra cool blues color and mojo that comes out nicely.
