3-Latch Softshell case For 1959-1963 Gibson Melody Maker & Epi Olympic
Solid Neck Rest, w/Working Case Compartment (Guitars not included)

Up for a sale is a vintage Gibson 1961 Melody Maker case in good working condition. It came with a 1961 Epi Olympic, but fits both the Style 1 Single Cut 1959-61 and the Style 2 Double Cutaway 1961-63 Melody Makers and also Epi Olympics. Does NOT fit the Style 3 1963-6 Joan Jett or the Style 4 1966-8+ SG bodied MMs, just Style 1 & 2 MMs. The 3x latches all work, and the case compartment is fully operational, and the handle is securely attached. The case is in good condition, with some marks and scratches, but this case is actually very good for for being almost 60 years old. The latches have some major oxidation and tarnish, but all work fine -- as well as the handle -- and the interior felt lining is also intact, but showing signs of wear. No actual guitar is included.

All in all, a perfectly functional vintage 1959-63 Melody Maker case, that not only is the period correct vintage case for a vintage Melody Maker Type 1 or 2, but is also a perfectly functional travel / storage case, with many more miles of use still ahead.
