DBX 576 Channel Strip w/Tube Mic Preamp, EQ, Compressor * IN STOCK *
w/Working Tube Preamp + EQ Sections, but Comp Section has Noise Issue, "As-is"
Up for consideration is a used DBX 576 tube mic preamp, EQ/Comp channel strip. The unit is sold "as-is' for parts/repair, as it needs some work to be fully operational. But the unit passes signal and basically works -- the Pre/EQ section works fine, but the comp does have some noise issues. Also, both VU meters are wonky or sticky, and will function intermittently. I found that if you tap them lightly with your finger, it can jog them back into working properly for a while. Also, one VU has a bulb that is intermittent, but if you tap it the bulb will come back on. The other issue is the compressor section is buzzy in certain ranges of the Level knob, sounding like a ground buzz. However, in the Level range of +4 to +5 the noise mostly goes away and the comp actually works fine!! So this comp may work fine for some people for certain dedicated uses, and you can still use the Tube Pre/EQ section, and bypass the comp -- but if you want a 100% functioning comp, this unit will need some tech work, and is Sold As-Is for parts.
