Made in Japan, Vintage 1980s, w/Added Kill Switch

Up for consideration is a vintage BOSS HM-2 Heavy Metal MIJ pedal in good working condition. The pedal works perfectly, and has no issues. I installed a fresh battery, and the pedal sounds great and is in relatively clean cosmetic condition for a 30-year old pedal, with some scratches on the front of the case, and the rubber grommet is missing a bit of rubber at the screw contact point. The LED lights up fine, switching mechanism works flawlessly, and all the pots work fine with no crackle or noise. These are advertised to be used with all settings at maximum full tilt, but you can actually get useful smooth overdrive / violin type of Tube Driver sounds out of it as well at less extreme settings. A kill switch has been added by a previous owner, perhaps to save battery drain when not in use.
