Up for consideration is a new Ameritage AME-60E hardshell bass case for all Fender Precision and Jazz-style basses, as well as Gibson EB-series bass guitars. This case is from the Ameritage Gold Series, which features a ultra-sturdy 6-ply hardwood shell, with burgundy trim, brass hardware, and a compression-fit suspension system to offer maximum protection for your vintage or modern Precision / Jazz / EB. Also, it has a humidity control system with a digital hygrometer, and silica pellets / humidifier for keeping the humidity inside the case close to the ideal constant of 50%. It is not easy to find a beefy, high-end, end-sewn case for Precion and Jazz basses (and also many Gibson models) -- and here is one of the best ones currently made available for immediate purchase.

In short, this case represents one of the very best bass cases on the market today for Fender Precision / Jazz or Gibson EB and other custom basses or clones. It protects the guitar from handling associated with travel, and it seals and protects the guitar from swings in temperature and humidity. If you find that the humidity exceeds the guitar's comfort range of around 50%, simply install a silica gel packet in the case compartment. If the humidity falls too low, you can add a few drops of water to the humidifier until the humidity climbs back up to around 50%.
