Up for sale is a baby, 3/4 short-scale vintage Melody Maker from 1965. The guitar plays great and is in very good condition, with some finish checking and a few dings here and there, but overall very clean. It is all original, minus the removed tremolo unit.
These guitars were built as student guitars with thinner frets, and they still make excellent guitars for younger players with small hands, but also have some advantages as you can tune them up higher and play in 1st = G to get different sounding voicings. Also, they can be dedicated as hi-strung 'Nashville Tuning' (upper octave stings from the 12-string) for multi-tracked textures. Or, they just make great travel guitars for practicing on the road.
These are MM 3/4s relatively rare, but since they are mid-60s Gibsons, they still have the same high-quality tonewoods -- slab Honduran mahogany body, as well as the same high-quality parts and craftsmanship as the much more expensive Gibson models.
